Once upon a time, there was a little fox named Caroline who lived in a beautiful forest with her family and many other animals. Caroline was very fast and had an amazing nose for smelling things, but she wasn’t very good at jumping like the other foxes.Every morning, she would watch other foxes jump high over bushes and tree stumps, while she could barely get off the ground. This made her sad, and she started feeling bad about herself, thinking she wasn’t as good as others.
One day, she met Wise Bear Ben, who was sitting on a rock and saw that Caroline looked sad. “What’s making you sad, little fox?” he asked.Caroline told him how sad she was about not being able to jump like the other foxes. Wise Bear Ben smiled and said, “You know, Caroline, everyone is different, and that’s okay. Look at you – you’re the fastest fox in the forest, and your nose is so good that you always find the yummiest berries. Those are things you’re really good at!”
“But what about jumping?” Caroline asked.
“It’s okay if you can’t jump high right now. You can stay just the way you are, or you can try to practice jumping if you want to,” the bear said with a kind smile.Caroline thought about what Bear Ben said and started to feel happy about her quick feet and super-good nose. With these special skills, she could always find the best treats and help warn her forest friends when danger was near.
Later on, she decided to try jumping practice, not because she wanted to be like other foxes, but because she thought it was fun. She practiced a little bit every day, and even though it wasn’t easy, she got better and better.
Caroline learned something very important – you don’t have to be the best at everything, but it’s good to be happy with what you can do well, and it’s okay to try new things that might be hard if you enjoy doing them.
After that, Caroline was much happier because she stopped trying to be like other foxes and started liking herself just the way she was. Sometimes when she laughed about her small jumps, she would say, “At least I won’t get hurt!” And when she went to sleep in her cozy den at night, she felt happy about all the things she could do and was excited for tomorrow, when she could just be herself.
